This was a wonderful conclusion to the Goku Yamcha rivalry. And even if your story doesn't end up going AU, it will still be a perfect explanation for where Yamcha got the strength to defeat Olibu and that other Z warrior in battle.
I greatly enjoyed the beam o war, and I loved King Kai's commentary. This really takes me back to the beginnings of Dragonball.
Well done.

It does give us fans closure to the oldest rivalry in DBZ. This fight was a great call back of all the things that made people love this show

Lord22 is right, picking up the filler episodes of the Buu saga after this, the way Yamcha totally kicked the kai world warriors out of commission becomes a lot more believable.

When are you going to upload the next volume?
Doctor Nico 5th Jan 2016, 9:34 AM edit delete reply
That was really awesome, one of the best DBZ fight ever ! And it was really a needed one, as Yamcha became too much sidelined in the official manga. As your manga explains a lot of unexplained things in the manga and anime, I'd like you to give an explanation as to why Freeza, Cell and other baddies, have a body in hell in the anime, when it was explained that only chosen ones like Goku could have one. My own theory is that there are several zones in Hell, one seen in DB Super, and the one seen in DBZ fillers. In this Hell, baddies have a body, but a weak one, only to be defeated over and over again by weaker adversaries, as punishment. It's not their "real" body. This could explain why Païkuhan/pikkon could defeat Cell so easily, when he was not approximately the same strengh as Goku, who was unable to defeat Cell. This could also explain how Yamcha, Tien, Chaozu and Piccolo could defeat the Ginyu forces on Kaïo's planet after only a few days of training, which was a MAJOR inconsistensy otherwise.

Hello there, I just wanted to say that your Fan Manga is getting better and better ( well at least according to me, but I think a lot of people will agree). Even if this chapter didn't give us many information for the next volume (I'm so impatient to read it!), it brought us the end to a fight I never hoped to see again.
I mean; when was the last time those two fought? like in the first volume of DB. It's really good to seeing them punching each other again.
Now I'm wondering how you will explain yamcha's power lost (well if he do so, but when the buu saga starts, he states he doesn't want to participate to the tenkaichi budokai because he is 'appearantly too weak')Maybe he really did lose a lot of power because of an unknown reason, or maybe the ex 'teen wolf'is'faking it', what could be 'awkward' and.. ok i'll stop, too much MTV influence ^^
to conclude I will simply say that your work is really amazing! and thank you for all the work you've done ( and will do )

Really, really great. I love the way you've painted Yamcha as a really tricky and cunning fighter.
Seems fitting.

Can't wait till it continues! This shows humans can still be powerful in the Zverse, while still being under the saiyans. In fact seeing as Goku/Vegeta are SSJGs now...this would be a perfect time for Toriyama to up the human fighters...big fat chance of that happening, but this story right here shows it can be done!
The one the only Kakarot 13th Jan 2016, 11:05 AM edit delete reply
If this had actually happened and Yamcha would've actually said this he would have actually foreshadowe's super saiyan 3
euzinho 21st Jan 2016, 12:59 AM edit delete reply
SSJ multiplies their "core" strength by 50, but Yamcha only went as high as x40. SSJ2 and SSJ3 go well beyond x50 so it would be impossible for Yamcha to match it. But going almost as far as a SSJ is already a great achievement on its own :D
halim 28th Jan 2016, 2:22 PM edit delete reply
he could very well go to ken *50, *100 and whatever

all it mean is that he need to increase it ;)
Madness 14th Feb 2016, 6:26 AM edit delete reply
One would think that upon a certain threshold of kaioken, a new form of a "super kaioken" with a new threshold is unlocked sort of SSJ to SSJ2 etc.

It would be interesting to see a new Kaioken developed by him, maybe something he can just use for a few seconds or he dies/consuming life force/expectancy, but that would give him the ability to exponentially increase his battle power.

That was an amazingly awesome battle. With skill, strategy, and his full strength Yamcha forced Goku to his limits, to the point that Goku was forced to Super Saiyan to avoid decisive defeat. Yamcha might not be at the same level as a Super Saiyan, but he's definitely on the same playing field with them. Epic accomplishment.

Awesome manga, and awesome character! I wish this as canon. Congratulation for your huge work!

I'll let this theme there (Is not Wolf Hurricane):

Toru Furuya made an album about important characters that he played, like Yamcha ;)

Can't wait for Volume 3 love your work man.

Very well done. I enjoyed this manga since the beginning. It brings Yamcha some respect instead of being on the sidelines and being the weakest. This manga has given me inspiration to make this version of him in DBXV. If you guys see the name "Yamcha DBZE" you now know why.

I love what you did with Yamcha's story! This is one of the best fan stories I've personally read, and you're artwork is amazing, you can definitely see the improvement with the artstyle! Can't wait to see more!

I hope one day we can a fight similar to this but with Vegeta, of course after Yamcha gets a lot stronger, because doesn't like to hold back.

This was amazing. I really love it.

Wow dude they way to ended tho, it could explain Goku figuring out Ssj3 following into the Buu Saga. Goku worked on his foundation again and not only did he learn how to surpass his son, but learned how to go even further beyond leading to Ssj3...Omg if this was canon it would be such a nice touch to the series. Sadly tho i think official DB has put Yamcha to the point of no return.

The intelligence and strategy behind everything. The storytelling. All the way back to the beginning giving him a proper backstory-- My favorite character. THIS IS CANON TO ME!

I hope you do something original one day. I'll be right there for it.

In all honesty I read this fight out of context on your DA. So I came here to read the full comic (its just easier to read here for me) and wow, this was the most awesome thing ever as far as Dragon Ball goes. I love this comic a lot. I'm not even that much of a Yamcha fan (Krillin has always been my favorite character) but this comic astonishes me with just how much Toriyama dropped the ball when it comes to using his supporting cast. It's shameful really.

But this comic is badass and you should be proud of yourself!
